What’s hot for WOMEN IN TECH?

Posted by WEST Board Member on May 8, 2017 3:54:21 PM

Climbing the career ladder is challenging in any business, but climbing the career ladder when you work in a male dominated field like technology is especially challenging. Finding a balance between “acting the part” vs “being your authentic self” can feel like walking a tight rope –not only is it time consuming, it can be exhausting too. So, what is the best way to navigate the system? where should you focus your efforts? how should you present yourself? and with whom should you spend time networking?

WEST is hosting an expert panel of senior leaders from the tech space who will describe their path to success, and will share tips and strategies that will be useful for those at all different career stages. As you will hear, the path to success is often filled with twists and turns – but each experience provides an opportunity for learning and growth. The panel is comprised of executives from a number of renowned tech companies, including Applied Materials, Analog Devices, Building Engines, Entegris, and Kids In Tech, and will be moderated by WEST Board Member, Debbie Gustafson, CEO of Energetiq.

In addition to hearing about these leaders’ experiences, and learning about best practices for succeeding as a woman in the tech world, the evening provides an excellent opportunity to socialize and network with women in STEM, and other leaders from around the greater Boston tech community. Come join the discussion!
