You can nominate a deserving contender for one of the awards listed below. All nominees should be providing direct service to the community, be giving outside of the core responsibilities of his or her job, have a day job in science or technology, and be willing to have his or her story printed in the event program. The nominations should include name, title, company, giving back award category, and 1-3 paragraphs about their giving back. Please send nominations to Jaime Luna, WEST’s Director of Operations, at [jluna@westorg.org](mailto:jluna@westorg.org).  Giving Back Awards: - Unsung Heroes Doing Extraordinary Things - For women giving back and making a difference in innovative and exciting ways - Making a Difference in Meaningful Ways - For women giving back in smaller meaningful ways - Guys Who Get It - For men who champion for women - Making a Difference in the Community - For women who are early in their careers (within 5 years) During the Giving Back Awards we celebrate women and men in science and technology who give back to the community in important ways – the unsung heroes who contribute to communities of need. We want to shine a light on their work in order to celebrate their efforts and inspire others to give back outside of their regular day jobs.  The WEST board will select the final winners on December 16, 2016 and they will be celebrated at our Giving Back Awards dinner on January 25, 2017. They will receive an award and have a chance to talk about the work they do and raise awareness and support for their cause. There will be a maximum of two awardees per company. With enough nominations, we will also select runners up and honorable mention awardees.
